The Axol Side Table, made from natural stone and old elm timber, effortlessly represents the signature MCM House aesthetic of rugged elegance, by combining natural materials with textured finishes.

Introducing our stone extension for the Axol range: Acid Wash Carrara White Marble, and Nero Marquina Black Marble join our signature Travertine offering. These new stones have been produced in limited quantities as a luxurious option for your living space.

Old Elm Timber
Our Old Elm Timber Collection embraces the rawness of natural materials. We embrace the unique characteristics of each piece; the subtle twists and turns, the beautiful knots, and the organic splits that may open and close. Like most natural materials, care and maintenance is required over time to retain your desired aesthetic.

Sourcing:
Our Old Elm Timber Collection is sourced from salvaged beams that are repurposed from 100-year-old buildings. We carefully hand selected each one for their raw beauty and unique character. Any variations in the timber or colour are completely normal and are to be celebrated.

Sealant:
Our Old Elm Timber is finished with one coat of sealant to maintain the natural beauty of the timber, so it retains a raw aesthetic.

Travertine
18mm thick and finished with an eased edge. Our travertine is a natural and porous stone that has been lightly sealed with a waterproof treatment. Each piece of travertine is unique, and has inherent qualities that will vary from piece to piece, including veining, tint, and density.

While the top component is designed to rest securely on the base, it may shift if bumped or moved. Ensure placement on a level surface. Avoid bumping or shifting to maintain stability.

Marble
Crafted of 18mm thick, honed and matte sealed marble, finished with an eased edge. Each piece of marble is unique, and has inherent qualities that will vary from piece to piece, including veining, tint, and density.

Product Care

Marble and Travertine are natural and porous stones. Each piece of stone is unique, and has inherent qualities that will vary from piece to piece, including veining, tint, and density. As Marble and Travertine Stones are porous by nature, special care needs to be taken to maintain its appearance.

Our stone tops are lightly sealed before shipping, they are porous by nature and can be easily stained, scratched or chipped if special care is not given.
Protect from acidic substances, for example wine and coffee. Always blot spills immediately and rinse with a clean, damp cloth.
To prevent ring marks, place coasters or trivets under glasses and dishes; use mats or runners beneath hard objects that might scratch the surface.
Do not place hot items directly onto marble surfaces.
Do not use chemical cleansers, dusting sprays, abrasive cleaners or furniture polish.
Dust frequently with a soft, dry cloth. Wash periodically with a cloth dampened with warm water, and if necessary, a small amount of mild dishwashing liquid. Use a second damp cloth to remove the soap.

Delivery charges are based on shipment location and total volume of your order. These fees are calculated at checkout.

Decor

MCM House ships small, non-fragile décor items via Australia Post. Delivery will be calculated at the checkout based on your post code. You will be sent your tracking number once your order has been dispatched.

Returns

Please choose carefully as we do not refund, return, or exchange if you change your mind or make a wrong selection (as supported by Australian Consumer Law).

All MCM House product is quality controlled, however should a product be delivered that has a manufacturing fault, we will replace or repair the product at no cost to you. You are entitled to this policy if you contact us within 48 hours of your product delivery notifying us of the manufacturing fault.
