For years, outdoor furniture asked you to choose. Durability or comfort. Performance or softness. Something that survives the elements, or something you actually want to sink into.  Solaro is our answer to that compromise. Or rather, our refusal of it. Most performance fabrics are engineered around what they can withstand - sun, water, salt, time. Solaro started somewhere else entirely: with how it feels.

It began with a feeling

There's a particular kind of ease to terry towelling - soft, tactile, a little indulgent. The texture of long summers and slow afternoons. It's not a material you usually associate with outdoor living, and that's exactly why it stopped us.

The challenge was making that feeling last outside. Terry towelling is one thing on a warm afternoon; it's another to ask it to hold up through a full Australian summer of UV, humidity, spills and salt air. So we set about building the softness we loved into a fabric that could genuinely perform.
