Product Description

It was the second painting after Forest Road completed during the second lockdown of the same year. The photo is of a mystical intersection of road and farmland set to the background of tropical mountains and sugar cane. Originally telegraph poles line the road into the distance. To keep the scene lush and retain a natural setting, Coe simplified the landscape near Mossman Gorge to maintain the straight lines of the road, set against variations of expressive applications in cool shades purple, blues and greens.
